The Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds strives to be an inclusive environment for everyone in our community. As part of these efforts, we are excited to announce the combination of our Disabilities Awareness Day and Special Groups program into one entity, Disabilities and Special Groups Day! The 2025 Disabilities & Special Groups Day will be on Monday, July 21 in Heritage Park.
This event will allow individuals of any age with any type of disability, and organizations from the community to visit and enjoy the Fair without any barriers.
We will also provide a sensory-friendly carnival experience from 10:00 am to noon for guests with sensory processing differences. During this time, there will be minimal lights and sounds permitted and rides will be slowed down to provide an accommodating and positive experience for guests with sensory sensitivities or challenges. Wristbands will be required for the sensory-friendly rides. You will receive them at the registration table in Heritage Park.Entertainment will be provided on the Heritage Park Stage.
Individuals must sign up through one of our approved partner organizations to participate or fill out the "Contact Us" form if signing up as an individual. Caregivers will also receive free admission.
