Fashion Shows that use recycling.
It is our way to promote recycling in different ways. Modeling experience is not necessary. This is a FUN event. Be creative and join the fun. This contest is open to the Young & Old–Guys & Gals who reside in Elkhart County. The contest will take place on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Heritage Park Stage. Contestants should plan to arrive between 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. This contest is limited by imagination only and must be in good taste and Fair appropriate. Judging is based on creativity, imagination, appropriateness and usefulness of the article.
You may enter one contest or all three. Have fun!
Each contest is a different entry.
Thrifty shopping = Purchase items from resale type shops & make the ensemble your own. Category #1: Grades 1 –12 Category #2: Adults The contest will be limited to the first 10 applicants in each category.
Recycle/upcycle = Items that are bound for the landfill which you remade it into something else that is useful. For example: an old shirt into an apron, sheets into pajamas, etc. Contest is limited to the first 20 to apply.
Trashy/crafty = make an outfit out of trash items like, plastic bags, bottles, cardboard, cereal boxes, etc. the item does not have to be useful it can be made of trash just made for the show. Contest is limited to the first 20 to apply.
