The Elkhart County 4-H Fair Parade is a much-anticipated community event. No other event brings the community together like the parade. Attendance is in the tens of thousands along the three-mile parade route. For over 40 years the parade has been sponsored by the Goshen Noon Kiwanis Club.

The theme of this year’s parade is “A Timeless Tradition.” Use imagination and good taste in creating your entry/float. The parade will stage at the Linway Shopping Plaza, Rogers Park, and Ares Fitness located in the general vicinity of the intersection of West Lincoln Avenue and Chicago Ave in Goshen, Indiana.

1. The Parade is a celebration of our 4-H Fair Community, NOT a public forum. We will deny applications that are not in alignment with values summed up in the 4-H pledge. The 4-H pledge reads, “I pledge my head to clearer thinking, My heart to greater loyalty, My hands to larger service, and my health to better living, for my club, my community, my country, and my world.”
2. We’re thrilled to see many new businesses opening up. However, this means that we have less space to stage the parade. We will restrict car, truck, or other vehicle entries to 4 units. This limit does not apply to bonafide service clubs or agricultural expositions. We also ask that commercial entries limit themselves to one tractor-trailer combination.
3. We ask participants to please not park in the staging area. We have limited room and not enough space for hundreds of people to park their cars. We need every inch of the parking lots for Parade entries. Here are some nearby places participants can park:

• The public parking lot behind Interra Credit Union
• Pringle Park
• Goshen Middle School

The parade will stage at the Linway Shopping Plaza, Rogers Park, and Ares Fitness located in the general vicinity of the intersection of West Lincoln Avenue and Chicago Ave in Goshen, Indiana. The parade will step off promptly at 1:30 P.M. The Parade Director will make the final decision on any and all parade-related activities.

Float applications are due by 5:00 pm on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Members and friends of The Goshen Noon Kiwanis Club will be in the staging areas to help you find where to stage your float. A registration table will be at the far west of the Linway Plaza parking lot. Registration will begin at 9:30 A.M.
