The purpose of “Green Earth Education Day” is to provide groups and businesses an opportunity to share ways in which the community can become more environmentally responsible and sustainable.

Exhibitor Info

There are 4 ways you can participate:
  • As a Vendor (promote and sell their product through educational and/or interactive displays)
  • As an Exhibitor (organizations who provide educational & interactive displays)
  • As a Sponsor to support “Green Earth Education Day” event and recycling efforts at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
  • Recycle/Up-Cycled Crafter Bazaar
The Green Earth Day exhibitors and vendors will be expected to:
  • Provide a Staffed educational/interactive display and materials in the park. A minimum of 50% of your display must be educational.
  • Pay a $50.00 donation to offset the cost of signage for the event.
The Fair Green Earth Education committee will provide:
  • A space approximately 10 x 10 feet in Heritage Park.
  • Two (2) 8-foot banquet tables with chairs for your display. (If requested)
  • Gate admission tickets for working personnel on Friday, July 18, 2025.
  • Parking is designated south of Gate 1, just south of the Campground.

Up-Cycle Bazaar Vendors

Are you a crafty person that creates items from trash to treasures?

Several individuals sell things throughout the year at craft bazaars that are created from trash to treasure. Here is an opportunity for you to display your items in July.

The Green Day event is Friday, July 19, 2024 in Heritage Park. Set up time starts at 8:00 a.m. Your display needs to be staffed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Eye Glass Collection by Lions Club

The Dunlap Lions Club in partnership with the Fair's Green Committee will be collecting old eyeglasses. If you have old glasses lying around the house, consider donating them to the Lions Club on Friday, July 19th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm in Heritage Park. For every pair you donate you will be entered into a drawing for 1st place 4 passes for another day at the Fair; 2nd place $20 of Clover Cash to be spent at the Fair; and 3rd place $10 of Clover Cash. The drawing will be held at 5:00 pm. Winners do not need to be present.

Up-Cycle Contest

This is a fun event to promote recycling and show off your creative talents! Items need to be made from something old and/or unused & re-purposed into something new. The Contest is limited by imagination only. Items must be in good taste and Fair appropriate. Free to enter. There will be an award for the winners.

4-H Club Recycled Scarecrow Contest

This contest is open to all Elkhart County 4-H Clubs. Each club may submit one entry. All entries must be made from at least 75% recycled materials. The Scarecrows will be on display during the Fair on the south side of the ECCC.

Up-cycled/Recycled Yard Art Contest

The contest is open to all Elkhart County and adjacent county businesses, organizations and individuals. No entry fee required. One entry per business, organization or individual allowed. All entries must be made from at least 75% upcycled/recycled materials. The Yard Art will be on display during the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
